Chapter History

The Iota Sigma chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was chartered at Old Dominion University on March 27th, 1987. Since then, we have been guided by the words of our creed and live out the meaning of our motto, "Seek the Noblest", each day.

This chapter was founded upon the high ideals of Zeta Tau Alpha and the high standards of Old Dominion University. Both at the local and national level, the Iota Sigma chapter has been recognized for the fulfillment of these ideals and most importantly, for our philanthropy Breast Cancer Awareness and Education. From collegiate years and beyond, ZTA members encompass the spirit of our organization as they continuously strive for academic, social, and philanthropic excellence. 

You’ll know an ODU Zeta by her sweet disposition, gravitation toward leadership and involvement, philanthropic heart, and fun-loving attitude! Whether members are at a Monarch football game, a Panhellenic sponsored event, or simply spending time with friends, the sisterhood intended by our founders is clearly present. The sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha look forward to passing along the love and support of our organization to new members for years to come.
